Welcome to Studio Verthandi. These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of studioverthandi.com and to purchases made through our online store.
By placing an order with Studio Verthandi, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. ABOUT STUDIO VERTHANDI
Studio Verthandi is an independent fashion studio based in Ireland, creating garments in very limited quantities from carefully sourced natural textiles and existing garments.
Studio Verthandi is a registered business name operated by Linda Verthandi Racz.
Trading name: Studio Verthandi

Our online store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the e-commerce platform through which our products are offered and sold.
2. OUR GARMENTS
Studio Verthandi garments are produced individually or in very limited quantities.
Many pieces incorporate carefully sourced existing garments, vintage or pre-existing textiles, deadstock fabrics and other selected natural materials. As a result, variations in weave, colour, texture, stitching or other characteristics may occur.
Where a garment incorporates a pre-existing textile or garment, small signs of its previous life may occasionally remain. We consider these part of the individual character of the piece rather than manufacturing defects. Any significant marks, damage or unusual characteristics known to us will be described or shown as clearly as reasonably possible on the relevant product page.
We make every effort to photograph and describe each garment accurately. However, colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen and device.
Measurements and sizing information provided on product pages are intended to help you choose the appropriate size. Because many Studio Verthandi garments are individually made, measurements may vary slightly from piece to piece.
3. AVAILABILITY
Many Studio Verthandi pieces are one of a kind or available only in extremely limited quantities.
Placing an item in your shopping basket does not reserve it. An order is accepted once payment has been successfully processed and we have sent you an order confirmation.
If, exceptionally, an item becomes unavailable after you have placed an order, we will contact you and refund any amount paid for that item.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where there is a genuine reason to do so, including an obvious pricing or product-description error, suspected fraud, inability to deliver to the address provided, or lack of availability. If payment has already been taken, the relevant amount will be refunded.
4. PRICES & PAYMENT
All prices are shown in euros (€) unless otherwise stated.
The price displayed at the time you place your order is the price you will be charged, excluding any separately stated delivery charges.
Any applicable taxes will be dealt with in accordance with Irish and EU law.
Payment is processed securely through the payment methods offered at checkout. Studio Verthandi does not directly store your complete payment-card details.
For deliveries outside the European Union, the recipient may be responsible for import duties, taxes, customs charges or other fees imposed by the destination country. Where applicable, these charges are not included in the purchase price or delivery charge unless expressly stated otherwise.
5. DELIVERY
We ship to the destinations shown at checkout.
Estimated preparation and delivery times are provided on our website and in our Shipping Policy. Delivery times are estimates unless we have expressly agreed a specific delivery date with you.
Some pieces may require preparation before dispatch. Made-to-order or individually commissioned pieces may have longer lead times, which will be communicated before or at the time of purchase.
We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control. If a significant delay occurs, we will contact you where reasonably possible.
Your statutory rights in relation to delivery are not affected.
6. RETURNS & YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL
For most ready-made goods purchased online, consumers have a statutory right to cancel the contract without giving a reason within 14 days of receiving the goods, subject to the exceptions provided by law.
If you wish to exercise this right, you must inform us within the applicable cancellation period. You then have 14 days to return the goods.
Full instructions, including the return address and information about return shipping costs, are set out in our Returns & Refund Policy.
You may examine and try on a garment as you would reasonably do in a shop. You may be responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling the garment beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and fit.
Where a valid statutory cancellation right is exercised, we will refund the price paid and, where required by law, the cost of standard delivery. We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or you provide evidence that you have sent them back.
Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method.
7. MADE-TO-ORDER & PERSONALISED GARMENTS
Certain Studio Verthandi garments may be made specifically for an individual customer.
Where a garment is made to your measurements, altered or adapted specifically at your request, or otherwise clearly personalised to your specifications, the statutory 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right may not apply.
Where this exception applies, we will make this clear before you place the order.
A garment is not considered made-to-order merely because it is unique, one of a kind, or produced in very limited quantities. A completed garment offered for general sale through our online shop is treated as a ready-made product unless otherwise stated.
The exclusion of the change-of-mind cancellation right for personalised goods does not affect your statutory rights if a garment is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise does not conform to the contract.
8. FAULTY OR INCORRECT GOODS
We take great care in the making and inspection of every Studio Verthandi garment.
If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged, incorrect or materially different from its description, please contact us as soon as possible at hello@studioverthandi.com, including your order number and, where helpful, photographs of the issue.
Your rights in relation to faulty or non-conforming goods are governed by applicable consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2022. Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to remedies including a refund, repair, replacement or price reduction.
Nothing in our Returns & Refund Policy or these Terms & Conditions limits these statutory rights.
9. CARE OF GARMENTS
Natural, vintage and pre-existing textiles can require more delicate care than conventional mass-produced fabrics.
Please follow the care instructions supplied with your garment or shown on the relevant product page.
Normal wear and tear, accidental damage, failure to follow care instructions, or damage caused by inappropriate washing, drying, ironing, storage or other treatment is not considered a manufacturing fault.
10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Unless otherwise stated, the content of studioverthandi.com — including photographs, text, graphics, garment imagery, logos, branding and original design content — belongs to Studio Verthandi or is used with permission.
This content may not be reproduced, distributed, commercially exploited or used to create derivative commercial material without our prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

Our use of personal information is explained separately in our Privacy Policy.
13. LIABILITY
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or any rights or remedies available to you under applicable consumer law.
To the extent permitted by law, Studio Verthandi will not be responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was entered into or for losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If you purchase a product as a consumer, these Terms do not restrict the legal rights you have in relation to that product.
14. PRIVACY
Your privacy is important to us.
The collection and processing of personal information through our website and online store is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used and your rights in relation to your personal data.
15. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our business, website or applicable law.
The Terms & Conditions that apply to your purchase are those in effect at the time you place your order. Changes made afterwards will not retrospectively alter the terms of an existing order.
The date of the latest revision is shown at the top of this page.
16. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms & Conditions and any contract between you and Studio Verthandi are governed by the laws of Ireland.
If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the European Union, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protections provided by the laws of your country of residence where applicable.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
